Wow! I miss one (or two) meetings and Bill...Sarah,
Wow! I miss one (or two) meetings and Bill has always promised we won't talk about religion...and here is your story. I wish I was there to have entered into the fascinating discussion that you have captured here. Being a long-standing christian with serious sinful flaws, I relate to your comment that "at some point, you have to decide if there is a God and then live your life accordingly." I thought there was a God, and wanted to believe there was a God, but until breast cancer 5 years ago followed by divorce, it was only then that I really know that there is a God. Like you I carry on a regular dialogue with Him and often hear and see responses through friends and events that defy rational logic. Recently, I've recovered from 4-1/2 years of blurry vision. After countless doctors and remedies with no relief, what other explanation is there except for divine intervention? I want to believe that someone besides me is in control. Fascinating discussion. I'll look forward to continuing it the next time I see you at the Authors Circle.
Agatha
www.agathanolen.comAgatha Nolenhttp://www.agathanolen.comnoreply@blogger.com
